Briefing promoters
The crew is the brand for the duration of the activation. A clear briefing is the most useful hour you will spend before day one.
What every promoter should know
- The one message the public should leave with.
- Three facts about the product they can repeat confidently.
- The rules on who can receive samples or enter a promotion.
- How data is captured and how consent is explained.
- Who to call when stock, equipment or a member of the public causes a problem.
Practise the opening line
Most interactions are decided in the first few seconds. Have each promoter practise a short, friendly opener and a polite way to end a conversation that is going nowhere.
Look after the crew
Schedule breaks, water and a place to sit. Rotate positions so the same person is not at the busiest spot all day. A rested crew is a better crew by the last hour.
Close each day properly
End with a ten-minute check: stock levels, data captured, anything that went wrong and anything the next shift needs to know. Write it down.
