Taking a brand out to the public
Field marketing puts a product, a person and a member of the public in the same spot for a minute or two. That minute can drive trial, start a sales conversation or simply make a brand memorable. It can also be wasted by a crowded booth, a tired crew or a form nobody fills in.
These notes are for brand managers, trade marketers and sales teams who run that work in Singapore. They focus on the operational decisions that usually decide the outcome.
Entries in this ledger
| Entry | Read it when |
|---|---|
| Sampling in store | You are handing out product in a supermarket or mall. |
| Roadshow sites | You are choosing malls or concourses for a multi-day presence. |
| Trade show stands | You are exhibiting and need the stand to produce real leads. |
| Briefing promoters | You are about to put a crew in front of the public. |
One rule across all of them
Decide what a good result looks like before the first day, then design the space, the crew and the data capture around it. Reporting written after the event rarely fixes a plan that measured the wrong thing.
